JAMSHEDPUR – Congress state secretary Vijay Khan criticizes former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das’s track record on industrial welfare.
Workers faced significant setbacks during Das’s tenure as multiple companies ceased operations, he said.
Meanwhile, he added, the Cable Company’s workers struggled without basic electricity connections in their quarters.
Moreover, Tayo Rolls and Tata Agrico shut down their operations in 2016, he alleged.
Furthermore, Hitachi relocated its facility from Jamshedpur to Kharagpur.
However, Khan emphasized Congress’s consistent support for workers’ rights through INTUC.
In addition, he highlighted the party’s role in securing permanent positions at Tata Motors.
On the other hand, Congress criticized BJP’s alleged pro-industrialist stance.
The party promised revival efforts for closed industries through their candidate Dr. Ajoy Kumar.
Besides, Khan questioned Das’s inaction despite the industries being near his residence.
