JAMSHEDPUR – Independent candidate Saurav Vishnu has accused Congress of misleading Jamshedpur’s basti residents over land lease rights, vowing to secure their ownership through the court.
Vishnu filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on this issue in January, and he asserts that the matter is now pending in the Supreme Court, which he believes is the only authority with the power to grant land ownership to residents.
“Congress is misleading people, using baseless claims to gain votes,” Vishnu stated, suggesting they frighten residents with comparisons to areas like Bokaro, Dhanbad, and Hazaribagh to sway support.
He promised to include all affected residents in his case if elected, emphasizing his commitment to resolving the matter legally.
Expressing confidence in the judiciary, Vishnu added, “The court holds the power for justice, and I trust it will grant rightful ownership to residents.”
