Shopkeeper Found Dead by Suicide in Patamda, Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic incident, 35-year-old shopkeeper Anil Sahu was found dead by hanging in his home in the Lava Tola Beltand market area of Patamda, near Jamshedpur, on Tuesday morning.

Sahu, who had been struggling with mental stress and financial difficulties for the past year, reportedly took his own life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan using a saree in a room behind his shop late Monday night.

His wife, Sangeeta Devi, discovered the tragedy when she tried to open the room’s door, which was locked from the inside.

Upon alerting the family, they broke down the door and found Sahu’s body.

Police arrived at the scene, conducted an investigation, and sent the body for postmortem.

Sahu, the third of four brothers, had been withdrawn for several months and avoided social interaction, according to his family.

He leaves behind a grieving family, including a daughter around 8 years old and a 2-year-old son.
