Teacher Robbed in Jamshedpur While Traveling with Wife

JAMSHEDPUR – A teacher and his wife were robbed while traveling on their scooter near MGM Hospital.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning as Brajesh Narayan Prasad and his wife Neera were heading from Mango Pardi to Sakchi.
According to Prasad, two young men on a CBZ motorcycle blocked their path near a roundabout.
As the couple tried to bypass them, the robbers followed closely.
Near Sheetla Temple, they snatched Neera’s gold chain and jiuṭiyā (traditional jewelry) before fleeing.
Brajesh gave chase for about five kilometers, while his wife repeatedly tried to contact police via the emergency number, 100.
However, the phone call never connected.
The thieves escaped via Marine Drive after passing near the old jail and court area.
Meanwhile, local BJP leader Vikas Singh visited Brajesh’s home to gather details about the robbery.
The couple expressed their frustration over the police emergency line’s failure, which could have helped capture the robbers.
Brajesh detailed the route the robbers took while escaping, but no arrests have been made yet.
