JAMSHEDPUR – Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta celebrated the auspicious occasion of Mahanavami by performing Kanya Puja at his Kadma residence.
Accompanied by his wife Sudha Gupta, the minister worshipped nine young girls as part of the traditional ritual, offering them food and receiving their blessings.
Following the ritual, Gupta expressed his joy, stating that the blessings from the "small goddesses" filled his heart with happiness.
He highlighted the importance of daughters in society, referring to them as the foundation of happiness, prosperity, and progress.
"Daughters are the key to a prosperous world, and honoring them is the highest form of worship," Gupta said.
He added that respecting and serving daughters is the true way to worship the divine mother.
The minister also mentioned how fortunate he felt to have performed the Kanya Puja on such a special day.
