Tata Steel Tour Championship 2023 to Conclude PGTI Season with Top Golfers

Tata Steel and PGTI’s Tata Steel Tour Championship 2023 set to conclude with India’s leading golfers and a grand prize of INR 3 crore.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Group, in collaboration with PGTI, is set to host the prestigious Tata Steel Tour Championship 2023.

Scheduled from December 21 to 24 at Jamshedpur’s Beldih and Golmuri golf courses, the event marks the season’s climax with a lucrative INR 3 crore prize.

The championship will feature 75 top professionals, including stars like Gaganjeet Bhullar, SSP Chawrasia, and Manu Gandas.

This 72-hole stroke-play event, unique in its no-cut format, assures all participants a share of the prize money.

The championship’s unique format sees players alternating between Beldih and Golmuri courses across the rounds, culminating with the prize ceremony at Beldih Golf Club.

Indian golf luminaries such as Chikkarangappa S, Om Prakash Chouhan, Karandeep Kochhar, and Veer Ahlawat will grace the tournament.

The event will play a decisive role in the Tata Steel PGTI Ranking, with the top player earning a full card for the 2024 DP World Tour.

D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President of Tata Steel and Jamshedpur Golf Captain, expressed enthusiasm about the tournament’s impact on Jamshedpur’s golf scene.

Uttam Singh Mundy, CEO of PGTI, highlighted Tata Steel’s vital role in supporting PGTI and Indian professional golf.

The scenic Beldih and Golmuri golf courses, set against the Dalma Hills, offer challenging and diverse playing conditions, adding to the championship’s allure.
