JAMSHEDPUR – Adhiraj Mitra, a Class VII student from Loyola School, has secured a silver medal in the U-14 category at the CISCE National Chess Championship 2024.

The young chess prodigy displayed remarkable skills throughout the tournament.

Moreover, Adhiraj scored an impressive 6.5 points out of 8, remaining unbeaten.

This achievement marks him as the only recent national medalist from Jharkhand in chess.

Furthermore, this victory follows his silver medal win in a similar competition last year.

Adhiraj’s success is attributed to strong support from his school and coach.

On the other hand, his rapid growth is largely credited to his mentor, Dushyant sir.

The young player’s performance has earned him a spot in the SGFI competition.

In addition, Father Vinod Fernandes and teacher Jayanti Sheshadri have closely followed his progress.
