IMD predicts light rain and temperature rise in Jharkhand
The monsoon trough passing through Daltenganj is set to influence Jharkhand’s weather, with a cyclonic area forming in southwestern Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and adjacent regions.
JAMSHEDPUR – The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Ranchi has informed that the monsoon trough, which is currently passing through Daltenganj, will have an impact on the weather in Jharkhand in the upcoming days.
According to Chief Meteorologist Abhishek Anand, there will be light rainfall in certain areas of Jharkhand on Monday and Tuesday, July 8th and 9th.
The maximum temperature is expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees over the next three days, but there are no significant changes anticipated after that.
Anand also said that there might be thunderstorms in certain parts of Jharkhand on Sunday.
Over the last day, there have been light to moderate rains with thunderstorms in the state, and certain areas have received heavy rainfall.
However, the monsoon activity in the state was generally weak during this period.
Kushiyari in Dumka has received the highest amount of rainfall, measuring 112 mm, in the past 24 hours.
