JAMSHEDPUR – Local officials conducted a thorough inspection of Durga Puja immersion sites to ensure safety and cleanliness for the upcoming festivities.

Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal led the inspection of key river ghats.

Moreover, they were joined by various municipal and local officials.

The team visited several prominent locations, including Swarn Rekha Ghat and Pandey Ghat.

During the inspection, officials identified access roads requiring urgent repairs.

Mittal instructed municipal bodies to address these issues promptly.

Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of proper barricading for crowd control.

"Barricading will prevent devotees from entering unsafe areas near the water’s edge," Mittal stated.

SSP Kaushal stressed the need for vigilant security measures during peak immersion times.

Furthermore, cleanliness at the ghats was a major focus of the inspection.

Mittal directed municipal bodies to ensure timely cleaning before and after immersion ceremonies.

The Deputy Commissioner also highlighted the necessity of adequate lighting at all sites.

"Proper lighting is crucial to prevent accidents during the immersion process," he explained.

Meanwhile, Kaushal assured that sufficient police personnel would be deployed at each location.

He mentioned that drone cameras and videography would be used for real-time monitoring.

In addition, Mittal called for close cooperation between officials and local Durga Puja Committees.

He requested strict adherence to scheduled immersion times to maintain order.

"Punctuality will allow for more effective crowd management," Mittal concluded.
