JAMSHEDPUR – Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishor Kaushal has instructed officers to verify the list of local criminals ahead of Durga Puja.

The directive was given during a crime meeting on Monday, held in the Deputy Commissioner’s auditorium.

SSP Kaushal emphasized the need for thorough verification of all criminals under each police station’s jurisdiction.

Officers were asked to compile reports on those in jail and those out on bail.

Additionally, all station in-charges were instructed to ensure strict control over crime and to submit their findings.

He further emphasized heightened vigilance during the upcoming Durga Puja festival, aiming to prevent incidents such as pickpocketing and theft in crowded areas.

All police stations were tasked with preparing field reports on local Durga Puja events and keeping a close watch on repeat offenders.

The SSP also briefed officers on preparations for the upcoming assembly elections.

In this context, detailed information regarding polling booths and election-related logistics was shared.

The meeting included all DSPs and station heads from across the district, who were also assigned election-related tasks.
