RANCHI – Jharkhand braces for wet weather as a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal threatens to disrupt the week ahead.

The Ranchi Meteorological Center has issued a rainfall alert for various parts of the state.

Moreover, the alert covers the period from September 28 to 30, affecting numerous districts.

Abhishek Anand, a meteorologist at the center, shared the detailed forecast with the public.

According to the prediction, Ranchi, Garhwa, and Palamu are among the areas likely to experience thunderstorms.

Additionally, Chatra, Koderma, Giridih, and Deoghar may also witness significant rainfall during this period.

Furthermore, the forecast includes Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, and Simdega in the list of affected regions.

On September 28, several districts are expected to face more severe weather conditions.

Garhwa, Palamu, and Chatra are specifically mentioned as areas likely to experience heavy showers with thunder.

Meanwhile, Hazaribagh, Koderma, and Giridih are also on the list for potential thunderstorms on that day.

However, some areas may only experience light drizzles or overcast conditions.

A local resident commented, "We’re preparing for the rain, but hoping it won’t disrupt daily life too much."
