JAMSHEDPUR – Two individuals associated with a firing incident that transpired in Mahanand Basti on September 3 have been apprehended by the Jamshedpur police.

Amit Chaudhary and Sonu Kumar are the suspects that the police have arrested.

A mobile phone, ammunition, a pistol, and a magazine were retrieved by the police from their possession.

On Friday, SSP Kishore Kaushal disclosed the specifics of the case. He said that a misfired bullet struck an unintended target during the attack.

Immediately, both the assailant and the victim fled the scene, he added.

The gunman was identified as Amit Chaudhary, a resident of Veer Birsagarh.

On the other hand, Sonu Kumar was inadvertently wounded during the incident.

The SSP said that the duo had initially intended to pursue an individual other than themselves.

Both suspects possess extensive criminal histories, he said.

Amit is confronted with five cases at the Telco and Sidhgora stations.

He is accused of homicide, robbery, and theft.

Two larceny and robbery cases have been filed against Sonu.

Both are associated with incidents of vehicle larceny.

"Our dedication to public safety is underscored by this arrest," stated SSP Kaushal.

The criminal network is currently under further investigation by the police.

Authorities are in pursuit of information regarding additional potential criminal activities.

The case emphasizes the ongoing endeavors to reduce illicit activities in Jamshedpur, the police said..
