Photography Workshop Kicks Off at Karim City College

Tata Steel Photographer Naresh Sablok Shares Expertise with Mass Communication Students

Three-day event aims to inspire and educate aspiring photographers in technical and creative aspects.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Mass Communication Department of Karim City College launched a three-day photography workshop today, featuring renowned Tata Steel photographer Naresh Sablok as the key resource person.

"Understanding the subject’s mood is crucial for exceptional photography," Sablok emphasized in his opening address. "The frame we create matters more than the equipment we use."

Workshop Highlights

Sablok provided insights on lenses, filters, and key concepts like aperture and shutter speed.

He advocated for manual photography techniques over automatic settings.

Forty students from various semesters are participating in the workshop.

Practical sessions led by studio executives Syed Sajid Parvez and Syed Shahzeb Parvez followed the lecture.

Upcoming Activities

Students will practice photography at Jubilee Park tomorrow, using both cameras and mobile phones.

The final day will feature analysis and improvement tips from Sablok on students’ work.
