MEDININAGAR – A road accident near Devgan Mod on NH-98, Chhatarpur-Hariharganj Road, left two college students severely injured on Friday afternoon.
The incident took place around 1:30 PM when an unidentified vehicle collided with the bike carrying Rahul Kumar and Chandan Kumar, both residents of Ghusrua village and students at Gulabchand Prasad Agarwal College in Sarda, Chhatarpur. The students were on their way to college when the collision occurred.
After the accident, the injured students lay on the road until a passerby in a car noticed them and promptly rushed them to the Sub-Divisional Hospital. Following initial treatment, doctors referred them to Medinirai Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in Medininagar due to their critical condition.
Eyewitnesses reported the absence of road safety measures and reckless driving in the area. Local residents have demanded stricter enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such accidents.
The condition of the two students remains critical, and their families have been informed. Police are investigating the incident and attempting to identify the vehicle responsible.
