Taranjit’s Ardas held in Sakchi Gurdwara, Sikh community protests killing

Jamshedpur: The final Ardas in the memory of late Taranjit Singh was held at Sakchi Gurudwara on Tuesday.

Taranjit Singh, a Sikh youth from the city was killed in Manila, Philippines on July 11.

After the last Ardas held in Sakchi on Tuesday, the people of the Sikh community expressed their anger by wearing black badges to protest against the murder in Philippines.

It is worth noting that Taranjit Singh, a resident of Sitaramdera in Jamshedpur, had started his business four years ago in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

His business was doing quite well in Manila.

However, he was shot dead by unknown criminals in Manila recently.

The incident has caused a lot of concern and resentment in the Sikh community of Jamshedpur.

On Tuesday, after the last Ardas at Sakchi Gurdwara Sahib, the members of the community protested the incident by wearing a black badge.

The CGPC President and the relatives of the deceased urged the Prime Minister and Home Minister to ensure justice to the family and demanded a high-level inquiry into the matter and urged that talks be held with Philippines government to press for an enquiry.

During this, the president of CGPG Gurmukh Singh Mukhe, Former MLA of Ichagarh Arvind Singh, Vice President of Takht Patna Sahib Inderjit Singh, President of Jharkhand Sikh Pratinidhi Board Gurcharan Singh Billa, President of Sakchi Harvinder Singh Mantu, Gurdeep Singh Pappu, All India Sikh Students Federation Eastern India President Satnam Singh Gambhir, Inderjit Singh, Satbir Singh Somu, Kulwant Singh Bunty etc were present.
