West Singhbhum Cricket Body Elects New Committee for 2024-27

Mukund Rungta re-elected as president, Asim Kumar Singh as secretary

CHAIBASA – The West Singhbhum District Cricket Association has elected a new management committee for 2024-27 during its Annual General Meeting at Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium.

Mukund Rungta retained his position as president.

Meanwhile, Asim Kumar Singh was reappointed as general secretary.

The committee also includes three vice presidents and a treasurer.

Furthermore, three joint secretaries and five executive committee members were elected.

During the AGM, members approved the annual report and financial statements.

Moreover, the cricket calendar for the upcoming season was sanctioned.

The season will commence on October 16, 2024, with the SR Rungta B-Division League.

It will conclude on June 8, 2025, with the Summer Cricket Camp.

In addition, a new under-16 competition was introduced.

Vice President Sushil Kumar Singhania will sponsor this event, costing around Rs. 60,000 annually.

The House expressed gratitude for Singhania’s support.

On the other hand, lifetime memberships for experienced umpires and scorers were approved.

This decision applies to those who have served for five years.

However, they must pay the required fee as per the association’s constitution.

The AGM was attended by 40 members representing various stakeholders.

Additionally, four district players were honored for their BCCI achievements.

Satyam Singh and Saket Kumar Singh were recognized in the Under-16 category.

Meanwhile, Anukul Rai and Rashmi Gudiya were honored in the senior categories.
