Jamshedpur East’s Woes Persist Under MLA Saryu Roy: Dr. Ajoy Kumar

Dr. Ajoy Kumar slams lack of progress in water supply, infrastructure

Key Points:

• Moharda water scheme still supplies contaminated water

• Jusko Chowk to South Gate road remains hazardous

• Slum dwellers face dire living conditions, alleges Kumar

JAMSHEDPUR – Former MP Dr. Ajoy Kumar has criticized Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy for failing to improve basic amenities in the constituency over the past five years.

Dr. Kumar highlighted the ongoing issues with the Moharda water supply scheme.

Residents continue to receive polluted, foul-smelling water despite promises of improvement.

The road from Jusko Chowk to South Gate remains in a dilapidated state.

Several lives have been lost due to accidents on this treacherous stretch.

Heavy vehicles have further damaged the road, while lack of street lights compounds the problem.

Waterlogging during rains adds to the woes of commuters and residents alike.

Dr. Kumar accused Roy of being a mere spectator to these issues.

He claimed that Roy only makes empty promises without taking concrete action.

The former MP pointed out that even under the five-year plan, the road’s renovation couldn’t be completed.

Dr. Kumar alleged that both BJP and Roy have deceived the people of Jamshedpur East.

He stated that BJP misled residents for 25 years on the issue of ownership rights.

Now, Roy has allegedly betrayed their trust in the past five years.

The Congress leader challenged Roy to highlight any significant achievements during his tenure.

He reminded that Roy served as a minister from 2014 to 2019 before becoming an MLA in 2019.

Dr. Kumar drew attention to the plight of slum dwellers in Kalyanagar and Indranagar.

He accused Roy of keeping residents in the dark regarding the NGT case.

The former MP stated that he is helping people to the best of his ability as an ordinary Congress worker.

He suggested that his efforts to assist residents have irked Roy.
