Saryu Roy Demands Action Against Health Minister Banna Gupta, Alleges Irregularities in Pharmacy Council Appointment

Jamshedpur East MLA alleges irregularities in Pharmacy Council appointment

Key Points:

• Saryu Roy accuses Health Minister of appointing unqualified candidate

• Questions raised over authenticity of Rahul Kumar’s pharmacy degree

• Calls for immediate audit of Pharmacy Council’s financial records

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has demanded action against Health Minister Banna Gupta over alleged irregularities in a key appointment.

Roy claims Gupta directed the appointment of an unqualified individual as Registrar-cum-Secretary of Jharkhand Pharmacy Council.

The MLA alleges the minister ignored established procedures in the appointment.

A four-member committee was formed to assess the candidate’s qualifications.

"The committee’s report seems fraudulent," Roy stated in a press release.

He questioned the validity of Rahul Kumar’s pharmacy degree from YBN University.

Roy highlighted discrepancies in Kumar’s roll number and project title.

The Pharmacy Council President has sought clarification from YBN University.

"It appears Rahul Kumar’s degree is fake," Roy asserted.

The MLA accused the minister of attempting to cover up the alleged fraud.

He claimed the investigation committee overlooked crucial facts.

Roy alleged widespread irregularities in Kumar’s appointment process.

"Kumar’s brother-in-law was the previous Registrar-cum-Secretary," he noted.

The legislator demanded an immediate audit of the Pharmacy Council’s finances.

Roy believes an audit will expose large-scale financial corruption too.

He suggested the minister’s involvement might be revealed through the audit.

The MLA urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take action in the matter.

Roy’s allegations have sparked a controversy in Jharkhand’s political circles.

The Health Department has not yet responded to these serious accusations.

This case highlights the ongoing political feud between Saryu Roy and Banna Gupta as well as the need for transparency in government appointments.
