JAMSHEDPUR – Preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jamshedpur are nearing completion.
Tata Steel’s Managing Director TV Narendran and Vice President of Corporate Services Chanakya Chaudhary are set to lead the reception at both Sonari Airport and Tatanagar Railway Station.
Narendran commented, “We are fully committed to ensuring Prime Minister Modi’s visit is memorable and secure.”
Security Arrangements
Extensive security measures have been put in place for the visit. Over 5000 police officers, including 115 inspectors and 650 sub-inspectors, will be deployed.
Additional forces include 2550 male constables, 250 female constables, and 250 armed personnel. Traffic management will be handled by 100 extra officers.
Specialized teams, such as two BDS units and three anti-terrorism heat teams, are also on standby. Tear gas squads have been prepared for any emergency situations.
Protocol and Management
Senior IAS and IPS officers have been assigned to oversee various aspects of the visit. Manish Ranjan and IG Manoj Kaushik will manage activities at Sonari Airport.
At Tatanagar Railway Station, Secretary Kripanand Jha and IG Shailendra Kumar Sinha will supervise the arrangements.
Mukesh Kumar and DIG Kanhaiya Mayur Patel will handle parking management, while Chandra Shekhar and IG A Vijayalakshmi will oversee the event at the railway station.
Uma Shankar Singh and DIG Indrajeet Mahtha will coordinate the road show at Bistupur Voltas Building.
Arwa Rajkamal and DIG Rajkumar Lakra are in charge of the Jamshedpur Circuit House.
“Our goal is to ensure every detail is meticulously managed,” said a senior official involved in the planning.
