JAMSHEDPUR – A Makkadampur resident has sought protection from local authorities, alleging death threats from a group of miscreants.
Md Iman, who resides near the Badi Masjid in Makkadampur, approached the Senior Superintendent of Police’s office on Saturday.
He expressed concerns for his life and property.
The complainant identified several individuals as threats, including Md Arbaz, Md Shakeel alias Pyaju, Md Naushad, Md Tahseen, and Raja.
Iman works at Nadeem International Office.
A poster dispute on September 3 reportedly sparked the conflict.
According to him, Arbaz allegedly pasted a poster over one put up by Iman.
When Iman objected, the accused and others allegedly confronted him with violent intentions.
Some reportedly carried firearms, according to Iman’s statement.
He claimed a narrow escape as he was away in Jugsalai at the time.
Iman mentioned that Shakeel alias Pyaju had previously been jailed in connection with the Saidu murder case in Makkadampur.
A written complaint was filed at Parsudih police station following the incident.
However, Iman alleges no action has been taken against the accused so far.
This inaction prompted his visit to the SSP’s office to seek protection.
