Tatanagar Station Gears Up for New Vande Bharat Express Routes
Departure points marked, boards installed for trains to Patna and Berhampur
Tatanagar railway station has marked departure points and installed boards for the upcoming Vande Bharat Express trains to Patna and Berhampur.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tatanagar railway station has completed key preparations for the launch of new Vande Bharat Express routes to Patna and Berhampur, including marking departure points and installing signage.
The Railway Carriage Department has placed a board for the Vande Bharat train’s engine at platform numbers four and five.
These boards are strategically positioned to minimize walking distance for passengers using the foot overbridge.
The installation follows directives from the Chakradharpur division to designate specific locations for Vande Bharat trains at all stations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off the Patna and Berhampur Vande Bharat Express trains on September 15, 2024.
Tatanagar station will soon host three Vande Bharat trains, including the existing Ranchi-Howrah route and the new Tata-Patna and Tata-Berhampur services.
Indication boards for Vande Bharat have been installed on various platforms to guide passengers.
The station’s washing line number one has undergone upgrades to accommodate the new services.
Traction has been charged to facilitate the arrival of Vande Bharat rakes from Chakradharpur and Khurda.
A trial run is expected in the coming days as rakes are brought to Tatanagar for final inspections before the official launch.
These preparations highlight the station’s readiness to embrace the expansion of premium high-speed rail services in the region.
