Leveling Work Underway at TATA Station Ahead of PM’s Visit

Water tank demolished; site to be used for parking, future development.

– Site preparation at TATA Station ongoing for Prime Minister’s arrival.

– Area will serve as temporary parking, later become a new entry gate.

– Part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme for infrastructure upgrade.

JAMSHEDPUR – The leveling work near the Second Entry Area of TATA Railway Station is progressing rapidly in anticipation of the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 15.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Jamshedpur on September 15, where he would flag off the Vande Bharat train from Tatanagar station and would later also hold a public rally at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.

The area is being prepared to accommodate additional parking temporarily.

This is part of a broader effort to ensure smooth logistics during the high-profile visit.

As part of the preparation, the water tank in this area has been demolished.

This space, now cleared, will be repurposed as a temporary parking lot to handle the expected increase in vehicular traffic.

Local authorities confirmed that this measure is essential to manage the influx of visitors and dignitaries during the Prime Minister’s visit.

After the event, the site is slated for further development.

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the area will eventually be transformed into a new entry gate building for TATA Station.

This scheme is part of a nationwide initiative to upgrade railway infrastructure, enhancing both passenger amenities and operational efficiency.

"The site will first meet immediate needs for parking, and post-visit, it will be developed into a key entry point for the station," stated a reliable source involved in the project.

The ongoing efforts underline the significant infrastructure push tied to the Prime Minister’s visit, aligning with broader national goals for modernizing transportation hubs.
