Tata Steel Expands Employee Diploma Program

250 slots open for trade and non-trade apprentices; bridge course introduced

Tata Steel enhances its evening diploma program, offering new opportunities for employee education and career growth.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has expanded its evening diploma program, now allowing 250 employees to enroll and introducing a bridge course for those with prior professional education.

The program is accessible to trade and non-trade apprentices with at least two years of service at Tata Steel.

Non-trade apprentices must have completed the TJTS module or worked for a minimum of four years if the module doesn’t apply.

A new bridge course has been introduced for employees who have completed professional courses from other institutes.

This bridge course caters to those awaiting final exams or results from programs like AMIE or AMIM.

Successful completion of the bridge course will result in a diploma certificate.

The bridge course benefit will be available until April 1, 2027.

Employees pursuing degrees from non-AICTE-recognized institutions are not eligible for this program.

Future engineering and technology courses must be pursued at AICTE-recognized institutions.

This requirement will impact employee promotions, emphasizing the importance of recognized qualifications.
