JAMSHEDPUR – District Administration releases election symbol list for Mayor and Chairperson posts in municipal corporation and council elections across East Singhbhum, with 13 candidates contesting in Mango and eight in Jugsalai.
The symbol allocation was announced on Saturday. It covers Mango Municipal Corporation, Jugsalai Municipal Council and Chakulia Nagar Panchayat elections. Moreover, the process follows State Election Commission guidelines strictly.
Indira Sundi received the Air Conditioner symbol for Mango Mayor. Meanwhile, Kumkum Srivastava will contest on Walking Stick. Zeba Qadri has been assigned Bangles. Parvati Devi got Battery Torch. However, Pratibha Rani received Bench.
Banita Sahay will use the Biscuit symbol. Raimuni Sundi has been allotted Box. Lucky Singh got Bricks. On the other hand, Shaista Parveen alias Zeba Khan received Bucket. Sandhya Singh will contest on Camera.
Sudha Gupta has been assigned Carpet. Sushila Singh got CCTV Camera. Moreover, Sonamuni Soren received the Chapati Roller symbol. In contrast, Ward No. 22 in Mango Municipal Corporation will remain vacant. However, no eligible candidates were found for the seat.
The nomination process saw 16 file for Mango Mayor initially. Meanwhile, 10 candidates filed for Jugsalai Chairperson post. On the other hand, scrutiny reduced the final numbers. However, the competition remains intense in both areas.
