Father of Three Commits Suicide in Rajnagar, Seraikela

Mangal Melgandi found hanging at home; wife had eloped six months ago.

Mangal Melgandi, 35, a father of three from Khairbani, Seraikela, committed suicide by hanging himself at home.

JAMSHEDPUR – Mangal Melgandi, a 35-year-old father of three, hanged himself at his home in Khairbani, Seraikela.

Upon receiving the information, Rajnagar police arrived at the scene and sent the body for postmortem at Seraikela Sadar Hospital.

Melgandi’s wife had eloped with her lover six months ago, which left him in constant distress.

Despite a previous suicide attempt where villagers intervened and saved him, Melgandi took his own life inside his home using a cloth.

His children discovered his body hanging in the morning and immediately informed the villagers.

The police are investigating the incident and have taken possession of the body for further procedures.

The tragedy has left the community in shock, highlighting the ongoing emotional toll on the deceased due to his wife’s departure.

Neighbors and relatives are expressing their grief over the incident, noting that Melgandi had been deeply troubled in recent months.
