A 40-year-old man remains missing after jumping into the Subarnarekha River from Dobo Bridge, with search efforts ongoing.
JAMSHEDPUR – Aditya Rana, a 40-year-old resident of Kumhar Pada in Sonari, has been missing for over 24 hours after jumping into the Subarnarekha River from Dobo Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Local divers and authorities have been conducting an extensive search operation since the incident.
Aditya’s father has requested the Sonari Police Station to involve the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to intensify the search efforts.
Two suicide notes were left by Aditya, addressed to the SSP and Sonari police.
In the notes, he expressed distress over his mother’s death and dissatisfaction with life.
Aditya’s final wish, as stated in the notes, was that his family should not face harassment following his death.
Local residents reported witnessing Aditya jump from the bridge, prompting immediate emergency response.
The search operation is ongoing, with authorities working to locate the missing man.
Efforts are being intensified as the search enters its second day.
The incident has raised concerns about mental health support in the community.
