Tata Motors Urged to Improve Infrastructure in Jamshedpur Areas
Delegation demands road construction and civic amenities in Sarajamda, Barigoda, and Gadda
A delegation led by Kusum Purti met with Tata Motors management to request infrastructure improvements in several Jamshedpur areas.
JAMSHEDPUR – District Council Member Kusum Purti led a delegation to submit a memorandum to Tata Motors, demanding road construction and essential civic amenities in Sarajamda, Barigoda, and Gadda.
The delegation requested the construction of roads from Barigoda railway gate to Shankarpur Chandni Chowk via Sarajmda, and from Barigoda gate to Gadda petrol pump.
Additional demands included proper road lighting, water pipe repairs, and designated bus stops.
Kusum Purti acknowledged Tata Motors’ commendable bus service for permanent employees but highlighted resulting issues.
Increased bus traffic has led to road deterioration, with large potholes and frequent water pipe bursts causing accidents.
The lack of designated bus stops has resulted in traffic jams, particularly during peak hours.
These traffic issues have caused delays for patients, students, and other commuters.
The delegation warned of potential protests and demonstrations if the issues are not addressed promptly.
Tata Motors management assured immediate action under their CSR initiatives.
Social worker Ambika Dutt Mishra, Panchayat Samiti member Shivam Boypay, and other local representatives were present at the memorandum submission.
"While Tata Motors has arranged buses for its permanent employees, the increased traffic has led to road deterioration and accidents," stated Kusum Purti.
