JAMSHEDPUR – The Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA), in partnership with East Singhbhum Hockey Association, hosted the U-12 Girls Grassroots Hockey Festival from October 28 to November 2, 2024, bringing together 30 young hockey talents from Tata Steel Foundation.
The festival, organized to encourage young athletes’ interest in hockey, trained participants from Team Chaibasa, Team Bandgaon, and Team Jamshedpur, focusing on essential drills and techniques for skill-building.
The event culminated with an exciting match on November 2, where Team Bandgaon triumphed as champions, and Team Jamshedpur took the runner-up position. In a notable display of skill, Monsa Sardar from Team Jamshedpur was awarded Player of the Tournament.
Team Chaibasa also excelled, winning the Hardliners category with impressive determination.
This six-day camp aimed to build young players’ confidence and refine their foundational hockey skills. The initiative aligns with NTHA’s mission to nurture future hockey talent and reflects its dedication, along with TSF and East Singhbhum Hockey Association, to advancing grassroots hockey development in India.
