Tata Steel UISL Inaugurates Two Sewage Pumping Stations in Jamshedpur
New facilities in Patel Nagar and Jai Prabha Complex expand service coverage to 60%
Tata Steel UISL has launched two advanced Sewage Pumping Stations in Jamshedpur, boosting the city’s wastewater management capabilities.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel UISL has inaugurated two state-of-the-art Sewage Pumping Stations in Patel Nagar, Bhuiyadih and Jai Prabha Complex, Kadma, significantly enhancing Jamshedpur’s wastewater management infrastructure.
The newly inaugurated facility at Patel Nagar boasts a capacity of 500 KLD (Kiloliters per Day) and will serve 350 properties.
Jai Prabha Complex’s station, with a 300 KLD capacity, is set to cater to 160 residential and non-residential properties.
These additions have expanded the sewage service coverage area to nearly 60% of the city.
Tata Steel UISL plans to further increase coverage to 70% through centralized or localized treatment facilities.
For the remaining areas, mechanized sewage cleaning services will be introduced in the coming months.
Mr. Chanakya Chaudhary, Chairman of Tata Steel UISL, led the inauguration ceremony.
The event was attended by key figures including Mr. Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director, and Mr. Raghunath Pandey, President of JSU.
Mr. Pranay Sinha, Chief of Corporate Services, and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jha, General Manager of Water and Wastewater Services, were also present at the ceremony.
This initiative marks a significant step in Tata Steel UISL’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure in Jamshedpur.
