SECR Announces Major Train Schedule Overhaul
Development Works Trigger Widespread Cancellations and Diversions
South East Central Railway’s extensive development works disrupt multiple train services, affecting passengers from September 10-28, 2024.
JAMSHEDPUR – South East Central Railway (SECR) unveils comprehensive train schedule modifications due to ongoing infrastructure enhancements spanning September 10-28, 2024.
The SECR’s ambitious development initiative is set to cause significant alterations in train services, impacting numerous passengers across multiple routes. This extensive overhaul encompasses a wide array of cancellations, diversions, and schedule adjustments.
Several key express trains face temporary suspension during this period. The Tatanagar-Bilaspur Express (18113) will cease operations from September 10-27, while its counterpart, the Bilaspur-Tatanagar Express (18114), stands cancelled from September 11-28. The Tatanagar-NSCB Itwari Express (18109) and its return service (18110) will also be suspended for the duration.

In addition to cancellations, several trains will operate on alternative routes. The Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Mail (12810) and Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express (12130) will be rerouted via Jharsuguda-Titlagarh-Raipur from September 10-22. Their return journeys will follow similar diversions.
"We apologize for any inconvenience caused to our valued passengers," stated a senior SECR official. "These temporary adjustments are crucial for implementing vital infrastructure improvements that will ultimately enhance our service quality and passenger experience."
The Gondia-Jharsuguda-Gondia MEMU Special (08861/08862) will experience short termination or origination at Bilaspur from September 11-28, adding to the list of affected services.
