Laborer Killed in Tractor Accident Near Ghatshila
Sand-laden vehicle claims life on Kashida Hurlung Road; police investigate
A laborer died after being struck by a sand-laden tractor near Soradabar village in the Ghatshila area.
GHATSHILA – A tragic accident on Kashida Hurlung Road claimed the life of a laborer when he was hit by a sand-laden tractor near Soradabar village.
The incident occurred in the Ghatshila police station area, under Barajuri Panchayat.
A large crowd gathered at the scene following the accident.
Zila Parishad member Devyani Murmu quickly arrived to gather information from the tractor driver and locals.
The tractor, with registration number JH05AF 4427, was en route from Ghatshila to Hurlung.
According to the driver, a sudden radiator blast near Soradabar startled the laborer, Marshall Tudu.
Tudu, who was sitting on the tractor, panicked and jumped off.
The rear wheel of the vehicle ran over him, resulting in his immediate death.
The deceased, Marshall Tudu, was a resident of Kadamdih village in the Musabani block.
Police have seized the tractor and sent the body for postmortem at the Ghatshila subdivision hospital.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated by the authorities.
Local leaders, including Mukhiya representative Mono Samad, Panchayat Samiti representative Naveen Sao, and Lalit Krishna Bhakat, were present at the accident site.
