Tata Steel Gamharia Plant Wins CII-SHE Excellence Award

First-time victory in Eastern zone’s large manufacturing category

Tata Steel Gamharia plant has been awarded the CII-SHE excellence award at the Regional level in the Eastern zone for large manufacturing.

JAMSHEDPUR – The CII-SHE excellence award was awarded to Tata Steel’s Gamharia facility for the first time, in recognition of its exceptional safety, health, and environmental practices.

The esteemed accolade was presented at the 18th CII Symposium cum Exposing event, which took place at ITC Kolkata on August 22, 2024.

The award was presented by Mr. Rajiv Mangal, Chairman of the CII-SHE eastern zone, at the ceremony.

This acknowledgment serves as a testament to the organization’s dedication to the implementation of effective environmental, health, and safety protocols.

A detailed site assessment and a presentation to the CII jury members were part of the evaluation procedure.

The competition was intense, with over 80 companies competing for the coveted award.

It is a significant milestone for Tata Steel Gamharia to have won this award for the first time.
