Shiva and Sati Saga Enthralls Devotees at Shri Ram Katha
At Shri Rajasthan Shiv Mandir Jugsalai’s ongoing Shri Ram Katha, narrator Mamta Pathak regales audiences with tales of Lord Shiva, Sati, and their cosmic saga.
JAMSHEDPUR – In the mesmerising ambience of the Shri Rajasthan Shiv Mandir Jugsalai, the saga of Lord Shiva and Parvati’s marriage will be the highlight of Thursday’s Shri Ram Katha.
This revelation came after the devotees at the nine-day-long Katha received Aarti and Prasad, following the end of the previous day’s episode.
Lord Shiva’s wrath resulted in suffering across all three worlds, according to the narrative, as the aftermath of Mata Sati jumping into the fire took hold.
In the midst of King Daksha Prajapati’s Mahayagya, Sati, unable to bear the insult to Lord Shankar, threw herself into the Havan Kund, enraging Lord Shiva and resulting in the desecration of the Yagya’s location by his emissaries.
Despite Lord Shankar’s warnings, Sati insisted on attending her father’s Mahayagya, even after he explicitly discouraged her, stating that she would share the grief if not welcomed.
The tale unfurled as King Daksha Prajapati organised a Mahayagya with the intention of belittling Lord Shankar, excluding him from the list of invited deities.
On the second day of Shri Ram Katha, Mamta Pathak, an adept storyteller, engrossed the audience with tales of Lord Shiva, including the birth of Maa Parvati, Kamadeva’s annihilation, and Lord Shiva’s acquiescence to matrimony.
