Jharkhand ATS Raids 16 Locations, Detains 8 Suspects in Connection with Al-Qaeda Module
In a major crackdown, Jharkhand ATS, along with Delhi Police, raided 16 locations, detaining 8 suspects linked to an Al-Qaeda module.
Acting on intelligence inputs regarding an Al-Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) module, Jharkhand ATS launched a significant operation today, raiding 16 locations in Ranchi, Lohardaga, and Hazaribagh.
JAMSHEDPUR – Based on inputs received from a central agency, the Jharkhand Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) conducted a major operation today, targeting 16 locations across Ranchi, Lohardaga, and Hazaribagh in connection with an Al-Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) module.
The raids, carried out by Jharkhand ATS in collaboration with the Special Task Force (STF) and Delhi Police, led to the detention of eight suspects.
Jharkhand Police IG (Operations), Amol V. Homkar, informed that during the raids, illegal weapons, suspicious documents, laptops, mobile phones, and other digital equipment were seized.
The seized items are currently being verified as the investigation continues.
This operation marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist activities in the state.
