DGP Meets SCCI to Address Kolhan Region’s Law and Order Issues

Online discussion covers security concerns in Jamshedpur, Adityapur, and Chaibasa

Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry discusses regional security with DGP Anurag Gupta via Zoom.

JAMSHEDPUR – An online conference was conducted by the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) with the DGP of Jharkhand, Anurag Gupta, to discuss law and order concerns in the Kolhan region.

The Zoom meeting was initiated by SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka and DGP Anurag Gupta.

Law and order, traffic, and other issues that impact Kolhan’s three districts were the primary topics of the conversation.

Moonka underscored the significance of SCCI in addressing both public and business-related issues in the region.

He emphasized the necessity of improved surveillance in Jamshedpur as a result of its diverse population and economic activity.

During the meeting, business representatives from across Kolhan expressed a variety of security concerns.

Anti-social activities were present in the vicinity of Bistupur parking and Sakchi Mango Garden in Jamshedpur.

The city also reported an increase in the number of incidents of extortion, larceny, and cybercrime.

Delays in the issuance of arms licenses to merchants were identified as a cause for concern.

Traffic congestion, particularly on the Mango Bridge, was attributed to the encroachment of vendors on the roadside.

Theft of products from trucks on Marine Drive and other locations was identified as a persistent issue.

Representatives of Adityapur expressed their apprehension regarding the increasing number of larceny incidents in Gamharia and Adityapur.

Criminal activities and extortion in the vicinity of liquor stores in Satbohini-Dobo were emphasized.

The necessity of enhanced parking facilities for large commercial vehicles was underscored.

The request was made to establish a Temporary Outpost in the industrial area of the Auto Cluster.

The primary concerns of Chaibasa were the escalating sale of illicit substances and the rise in cybercrime.

Residents of Ghatshila expressed their dissatisfaction with the absence of local facilities for the payment of vehicle challans.

Chandil reported that the Chandil-Chowka area was plagued by severe traffic congestion and illicit lottery operations.

DGP Gupta guaranteed that the law and order situation in all areas discussed would be addressed through the implementation of the requisite measures.

He underscored the significance of enhanced traffic management and self-defense tools.
