Fraudsters exploit desperate candidates with false promises; DSE issues warning
East Singhbhum’s teacher appointment process has fallen prey to scammers, with middlemen exploiting hopeful applicants through deceptive promises.
JAMSHEDPUR – The District Education Superintendent of East Singhbhum has warned applicants about fraudsters targeting the ongoing teacher recruitment process.
The district is currently filling 154 teaching positions left vacant after the 2015 recruitment drive.
A provisional list of 136 selected candidates has been released following recent counselling sessions.
The process has left 807 applicants disappointed, making them vulnerable to exploitation by fraudsters.
Middlemen have been demanding bribes ranging from Rs 10 to 30 lakh, falsely promising inclusion in the final selection list.
The DSE has publicly released two phone numbers associated with these fraudulent calls: 8945008377 and 7250272018.
Applicants are strongly advised to avoid engaging with these callers and report any suspicious contacts to the police immediately.
"The entire recruitment process is being conducted transparently, and no outside intervention can alter the outcomes," emphasized the DSE.
This appointment process, delayed for nine years due to legal disputes over reserved posts, is now in its final stages.
The final round of counselling is scheduled for August 25.
Candidates are urged to rely solely on official communications and disregard any illegal offers.
