Sonua BDO Girivar Minz Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances in Government Quarters

Police investigate as Sonua Block Development Officer’s body is discovered outside his bathroom.

In a shocking incident, Sonua Block Development Officer Girivar Minz was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his government residence in West Singhbhum district.

JAMSHEDPUR – Girivar Minz, the 59-year-old Block Development Officer (BDO) of Sonua in West Singhbhum, was found dead under suspicious circumstances outside his bathroom at his government quarters.

According to reports, Minz had returned to his residence late last night after attending a flag hoisting ceremony in Chaibasa.

His body was discovered today in the government quarters located within the block office premises.

Concern arose when Minz did not report to the block office today, and his wife informed an employee that he was not answering calls.

When staff arrived at his residence, they found the door locked from the inside.

The door was broken open in the presence of the police, revealing Minz’s body lying on the floor outside the bathroom with blood on the ground.

There were signs of vomiting in the washbasin outside the bathroom.

SDO Reena Hansda of Chakradharpur subdivision reached Sonua to take stock of the situation.

The police have sent the body for post-mortem and further investigation is underway.

The body will be sent to Garhwa for final rites.

The incident has raised concerns and questions regarding the circumstances leading to Minz’s death.
