Teli Sahu Community Demands Action on Seized Building
Women representatives submit memorandum to Deputy Commissioner over disputed property
Teli Sahu community women seek intervention in the seizure of their allocated building by Brahmarshi society in Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – Women from the Teli Sahu community have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner for action regarding a building in Shivsingh Bagan area allegedly seized by the society of another community.
They claimed that the disputed building, located in the Shivsingh Bagan area of Agrico, Jamshedpur, was originally allocated to the Teli Sahu community.
They said that members of the society of another community reportedly broke the locks and occupied the building two days ago.
The Teli Sahu community claims the land was given to them in 2019, and a building was constructed on it.
However, the building has not been officially handed over to the community despite its completion.
Concerned departments have allegedly not taken any action on the matter so far.
Frustrated by the lack of response, women representatives of the Teli Sahu community submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
The women attempted to meet with Saryu Roy, the MLA of Jamshedpur East, at the Jamshedpur Access office.
However, they claim that the MLA’s bodyguards pushed them away, preventing the meeting.
The community has urged the Deputy Commissioner to take immediate action on this issue.
