NIT Jamshedpur Hosts Workshop on Ayurveda and Pulse Diagnosis

Workshop at NIT Jamshedpur highlights the importance of Ayurveda and pulse diagnosis for a healthy life.

On August 10, 2024, the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) Center at NIT Jamshedpur organized a one-day workshop on the significance of Ayurveda and pulse diagnosis in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) Center at NIT Jamshedpur held a workshop on August 10, 2024, focusing on the importance of Ayurveda and pulse diagnosis for holistic health.

The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed Director, Dr. Gautam Sutradhar, along with distinguished guests Dr. Gauri Shankar Mishra, Professor Ram Vinay Sharma, Deputy Director, and Professor Shalendra Kumar, IKS Chairperson.

In his address, Director Professor Gautam Sutradhar emphasized the role of Ayurveda as an ancient health system that contributes to overall well-being.

He highlighted Ayurveda’s relevance in treating the root cause of diseases without side effects, particularly for the younger generation facing issues like anxiety, insomnia, depression, and obesity.

Guest of Honor Dr. Gauri Shankar Mishra elaborated on the ancient system of pulse diagnosis and its relevance today.

Dr. Mishra discussed the importance of balancing the three doshas—Vata, Kapha, and Pitta—and how Ayurveda and pulse diagnosis play a crucial role in achieving this balance.

He stressed the need to adopt the ancient Ayurveda system for the holistic health of future generations and society.

Dr. Mishra also underscored the importance of preserving and promoting our ancient knowledge of Ayurveda as a natural health system.

He reiterated that through pulse diagnosis and Ayurveda, one can discover their true nature and live an authentic life that leads to satisfaction and good health.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Manish Kumar Jha, the IKS convener.
