Young Indians to Host Panel on Addiction Awareness for Youth
Over 300 students expected at ‘Addiction: A Dialogue with Youth’ event
Young Indians Jamshedpur partners with KMPM Vocational College to address substance abuse among college students.
JAMSHEDPUR – Young Indians (YI) Jamshedpur and KMPM Vocational College are organizing a panel discussion titled ‘Addiction: A Dialogue with Youth’ on August 6 at Kudi Mahanti Auditorium, Kadma.
The event, scheduled from 4 pm to 6 pm, aims to educate students about the harmful effects of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs.
District Commissioner Ananya Mittal (IAS) will serve as the chief guest for the discussion.
SSP Jamshedpur Kaushal Kishore is set to attend as the guest of honour.
Over 300 students from various Jamshedpur colleges are expected to participate in the event.
The panel will feature S. Shariq Umar, Superintendent of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Ranchi.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Sahu, Principal Consultant and Head of Psychiatry at TMH, will share his expertise.
Dr. Srikanth Nair, Director of Kerala Public School, is among the distinguished panelists.
Dr. Nidhi Srivastava, Psychologist and Founding Principal of Vivekananda International School, will contribute to the discussion.
The event aims to guide and motivate college students to avoid addiction.
This initiative highlights the community’s commitment to addressing substance abuse among youth.
