Tribal Cremation Grounds in Jamshedpur East to be Fenced
Government approves MLA Saryu Roy’s recommendations for Jaherthan projects
Administrative approval granted for fencing tribal cremation grounds and Jaherthans in Jamshedpur East, awaiting NOCs from Tata Steel and others.
JAMSHEDPUR – The government has approved fencing and beautification projects for tribal cremation grounds and Jaherthans in Jamshedpur East, pending land lease NOCs.
The Minister of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, and Backward Class Welfare Department provided this information in response to MLA Saryu Roy’s question in the Assembly.
Administrative approval has been given for fencing the Jaherthan and cremation ground of tribals in Babudih (Bhuinyadih) within the Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency.
The government has endorsed recommendations for the fencing and beautification of more than a dozen Jaherthans in the Jamshedpur East area.
These projects were proposed by MLA Saryu Roy.
Implementation of the plans will begin once No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the lease land are obtained from Tata Steel and other private companies.
The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum has been instructed by the government to initiate the implementation of these projects.
The approval marks a significant step towards preserving and improving tribal cultural sites in the region.
Local tribal communities are expected to benefit from these improvements to their sacred spaces.
