Jharkhand Launches Awareness Drive for Women’s Welfare Scheme

District officials flag off awareness chariots to promote Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana for women.
JAMSHEDPUR – Four awareness chariots were introduced by Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar and District Magistrate Ananya Mittal to promote the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana.
From August 3 to August 10, the chariots will traverse Panchayats and Municipal bodies.
Women between the ages of 21 and 50 who are not eligible for other pension programs may receive Rs 1000 per month to support their health, hygiene, and nutrition.
Applications will be accepted at special sites located in urban areas and Panchayat buildings.
Pragya Kendras will continue to take applications following the conclusion of the camps.
Beneficiaries who are eligible must be residents of Jharkhand and possess bank accounts that are linked to their Aadhaar numbers.
A voter ID, Aadhaar cards, and state ration cards are necessary for the application process.
The scheme excludes certain government employees, EPF holders, and income tax filers.
Application forms will be distributed at no cost by anganwadi personnel.
All applicants are required to attend special camps for the purpose of Aadhaar and photo verification.
The scheme’s implementation will be supervised by Block Development Officers and Zonal Officers.
Via their enrolled mobile numbers, beneficiaries will receive monthly payment updates.
