Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi procession today in Jamshedpur, tight security arrangements
Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district administration has made elaborate arrangements to ensure peaceful celebration of Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi in the city.
Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and SSP Prabhat Kumar jointly briefed the police officers, magistrates and other administrative officers in a meeting called at Rabindra Bhawan auditorium in Sakchi on Saturday.
Jamshedpur district administration held this elaborate and important meeting on the occasion of Eid Miladul Nabi to maintain law and order.
In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner of the district, SSP of the district, many officials of police and administration were also present and so were several Imams of different mosques of the city.
The Deputy Commissioner of the district issued several directives for peaceful conduct of the procession.
The SSP of the district said that the administration is ready to conduct the festival peacefully under any circumstances.
The DC and SSP while addressing the meeting said that the entire city has been divided into seven zones and each zone will be supervised by a magistrate and senior police officers.
She said that the entire city would be under the surveillance of Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) and Drones.
The DC said that a procession will be taken out from Gandhi Maidan, Mango. The procession will culminate at Dhatkidih.
She asked all the magistrates and police officers to leave their duty places only after taking the permission of the superiors at the conclusion of the procession.
She said that barricades and drop gates would be installed at various strategic places.
She also added that heavy vehicles and DJs would not be allowed during the procession and the entire procession would be monitored from the Composite Control Room (CCR).
The SSP said that adequate number of magistrates and police personnel have been deployed for the festival.
