Jamshedpur Police Tightens Grip on Criminals with New Profiling Initiative

SSP Kaushal Kishore introduces innovative criminal profiling to curb crime.

Detailed profiles of criminals and their families to aid in swift police action.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant move to clamp down on criminal activities, East Singhbhum district’s SSP Kaushal Kishore has initiated a unique experiment aimed at ensuring that criminals find it increasingly difficult to evade the law.

The police are now creating detailed profiles of criminals in every police station, including data on their family members.

Criminal Profiling for Effective Policing

SSP Kishore Kishore’s innovative approach involves compiling comprehensive profiles of criminals, complete with photographs and detailed information.

All station in-charges have been instructed to prepare and submit a complete list of criminals in their jurisdiction.

SSP Kishore stated, “So far, we have prepared a list of about 2,739 criminals, including those involved in:

Murder

– Robbery

– NDPS cases

– Extortion

– Vehicle theft

– Stabbing

– Burglary

– Dacoity

– Habitual offenses

– Surveillance cases

Each criminal’s profile will include all relevant information to assist in tracking and apprehending them quickly if they commit another crime and flee.

Inclusion of Family Data

In addition to the criminals’ profiles, the police are also preparing detailed profiles of their family members.

These profiles will include:

– Names

– Addresses

– Mobile numbers

– Photos

– PAN and Aadhaar card details

This will enable the police to contact family members for information if a criminal goes on the run.

The SSP explained, “We are also gathering information on the criminals’ movable and immovable property and their bank accounts. The detailed data collection process is nearly complete.”

Bailers’ Database

The police are also compiling a list of individuals who act as bailers for these criminals.

SSP Kishore has directed all DSPs and station in-charges to identify and document these bailers to assess their legitimacy and involvement.

SSP Kishore emphasized the need to scrutinize bailers to determine who is legitimate and who might be aiding criminal activities.

The current profiling efforts include categorizing criminals based on the type of crime:
