JAMSHEDPUR – The state government has launched the Sahiya App, designed to improve health data collection and reporting. A team from Ranchi conducted a training session on Friday at the Civil Surgeon Office to educate Sahiya workers about the app.
Training Session and Objectives
Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Manjhi provided an overview of the government’s objectives and the benefits of the Sahiya App during the training session.
The training covered the roles of Sahiya workers, how to download and use the app, and how to upload various types of health data.
Functionality and Benefits
Through the Sahiya App, the government and health departments will easily access comprehensive health reports of the general population.
Sahiya workers will collect health-related data from each household during door-to-door visits and upload it to the app.
The app will allow Sahiya workers to upload reports from village health committees, maternal and infant mortality rates, birth records, eligible couples, vaccination data, and monitoring reports for pregnant women and newborns.
Importance of Accurate Data
The collected data will include information about diseases and overall health conditions of family members, which will be crucial for public health planning and intervention.
"This app will significantly enhance our ability to monitor and improve public health," said Dr. Manjhi.
The government aims to leverage this technology to provide better healthcare services and ensure timely interventions for health issues.
