JAMSHEDPUR – Four express trains connecting Eastern India with Jammu will see temporary route modifications due to developmental works on Northern Railways.

The South Eastern Railway has announced significant changes in train operations. The alterations will affect four major express trains.

Impact on Tatanagar Services

The Tatanagar-Jammu Tawi Express (18101) faces schedule adjustments. The train will terminate at Amritsar between January 30 and March 4, 2025.

Meanwhile, its return service (18102) will start from Amritsar. This change applies to journeys from February 2 to March 7, 2025.

Changes in Sambalpur Route

Similar modifications affect the Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Express (18309). The train will now end its journey at Amritsar.

Moreover, its return service (18310) will begin from Amritsar. These changes align with the Tatanagar service schedule.

Background Information

The Northern Railways regularly undertakes development work during winter months. This helps minimize passenger inconvenience.

In addition, Amritsar serves as a major railway junction. It connects multiple routes across Northern India.

Furthermore, similar modifications were implemented last year. Those changes helped improve track infrastructure significantly.
