JNAC Announces Tenders for Parking Facilities in Sakchi and Bistupur
Five Designated Areas Set for Two-Wheeler and Four-Wheeler Parking
Bidding process aims to improve urban parking management in Jamshedpur’s key commercial zones.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has unveiled plans for new parking facilities across five designated areas in Sakchi and Bistupur.
Sakchi will oversee parking zones in areas three and five, while Bistupur will manage areas six, seven, and eight.
The minimum bidding amount for these parking lots has been set at a total of Rs 2,63,40,000.
Sakchi area-3 commands the highest starting bid at Rs 85,10,000.
JNAC official Rajesh Kumar stated, "This initiative aims to address the growing parking needs in our busiest commercial areas."
Tender Process and Timeline
Interested parties can purchase tender forms from July 18 to July 24.
The tenders will be opened on July 26 at 4:00 PM.
Allotment of parking lots will be determined through an open auction based on the highest bids received.
A JNAC spokesperson explained, "The open auction process ensures transparency and fairness in the allocation of these valuable urban spaces."
Previous and Current Tender Areas
Areas one, two, and four were tendered before the Lok Sabha elections and are not included in the current process.
The parking zones span from Sakchi to Bistupur, covering a total of eight areas.
Sakchi encompasses areas one to five, while Bistupur includes areas six to eight.
Local business owner Priya Sharma commented, "Organized parking will greatly benefit both shoppers and businesses in these busy areas."
This initiative is expected to significantly improve parking management and traffic flow in Jamshedpur’s commercial hubs.
JNAC officials are optimistic that the new parking arrangements will enhance the overall urban experience for residents and visitors alike.
