Ranchi Police Conduct Flag March Ahead Of Muharram
Over 200 Locations Under Static Police Deployment For Religious Observance

RANCHI – Ranchi police conducted a flag march on Monday to ensure peace during Muharram celebrations, led by City SP Rajkumar Mehta and Kotwali DSP Prakash Soy.
"We’ve implemented robust security measures across the district," stated SSP Chandan Sinha.
Key security arrangements include:
– Static police deployment at over 200 locations
– Quick Response Teams (QRT) on standby
– Regular patrolling by senior police officers
– Extensive CCTV coverage of the city
– Ongoing social media monitoring from the control room
The flag march covered major areas including Albert Ekka Chowk, Main Road, and Karbala Chowk.
"We urge the public to observe Muharram peacefully and cooperate with authorities," Sinha emphasized.
The women’s battalion of CRPF also participated in the march.
SSP Sinha warned of strict action against any anti-social elements disrupting peace.
Residents are encouraged to report objectionable or provocative posts on social media to the control room.
This comprehensive approach aims to ensure a safe and harmonious observance of Muharram in Ranchi.
