Wife Alleges Foul Play in Jamshedpur Criminal’s Death

Prema Dora Demands CBI Probe into Kartik Munda’s Fatal Fall

Adivasi Mandal Samaj backs family’s call for investigation as authorities order post-mortem by medical board.

JAMSHEDPUR – The wife of Kartik Munda, a known criminal, has accused local police of murdering her husband during an arrest attempt in Sonari.

Prema Dora, accompanied by Adivasi Mandal Samaj representatives, met with SSP Kishore Kaushal to demand a CBI investigation into the incident.

The widow alleges that police officers killed her husband after his arrest, contradicting reports of an accidental fall from a multi-story building.

Prema claims police arrived at their home around 1-2 am on July 12, leading to her husband’s attempt to flee and subsequent apprehension.

She learned of Kartik Munda’s death the following morning when his body was brought to Tata Main Hospital.

The family has demanded preservation of CCTV footage from their residential complex, the hospital, and the route taken by police.

Copies of the application for investigation have been sent to various authorities, including the Home Ministry and National Human Rights Commission.

In response, the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum has ordered a medical board to conduct a post-mortem examination.

Prema Dora refutes media reports about the incident, calling them fabricated stories meant to conceal the truth.

The case highlights tensions between law enforcement and local communities, raising questions about police procedures during arrests.
