New Skill Development Center Inaugurated to Empower Rural Youth
RVS Educational Trust inaugurates Deendayal Upadhyay Skill Center, aiming to skill rural youth for better employment opportunities.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Deendayal Upadhyay Skill Center, a significant initiative for skill development, was inaugurated today at the local RVS College of Engineering and Technology.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Shri Binda Singh, President of RVS Educational Trust, who lit the inaugural lamp.
Joining him on stage were notable personalities including RVS Trust Secretary Mr. Bharat Singh, Treasurer Mr. Shatrughan Singh, Mr. Ram Shiromani Singh, Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Head of Training & Placement Department Dr. Vikram Sharma, Skill Development Liaison Officer Mr. Uma Shankar, and others.
In his address to the students, Mr. Uma Shankar emphasized the importance of seizing this opportunity for building a promising future.
Mr. Shatrughan Singh, Managing Director of the Skill Development Center, highlighted the realization of Mr. Binda Singh’s vision for the Trust’s growth.
He delineated the center’s mission to train poor rural youth aged 15 to 35 years, ensuring employment at salaries at or above the minimum wage.
This government-affiliated initiative aims to bridge the gap between employment training and actual job placement.
Trust Secretary Shri Bharat Singh elaborated on the Deendayal Kaushal Yojana, a key component of this livelihood generation scheme, run by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
The program is expected to significantly contribute to skilling India’s youth, reducing poverty levels, and encouraging industrial development in rural areas.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Shri Ram Krishna Lodha, while Dr. Sudhir Jha moderated the event.
